VITTAL
An incident of chain snatching involving a child was reported in Kodapadu area under Vittal police station limits. An unknown person on a KTM bike snatched a gold chain weighing around 7 grams from a 7-year-old child and threatened the child. Police registered a case at Vittal police station under Crime Number 91/2026 and Section 309(4) of BNS 2023 and investigation is underway. Police clarified that a viral photo of a KTM biker circulating on social media is not connected to the incident after verification and questioning of the individual involved.
