As per the agreement, the Congress has emerged as the largest ally in the DMK-led front, securing 28 seats. Other key partners have also been allocated seats based on mutual consultations. The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi has been allotted eight seats, while the Communist Party of India and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) have received five seats each.

The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has been given four seats, while the Indian Union Muslim League and the Humanist People’s Party have been allotted two seats each. The seat distribution reflects the DMK’s effort to maintain balance among its allies while ensuring electoral strength across regions.

In a significant move aimed at projecting unity, Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin announced that candidates from both the DMK and its allies would contest in 175 constituencies under the party’s ‘Rising Sun’ symbol. The decision is being seen as a strategic attempt to consolidate votes and present a united front against opposition parties.

In a letter addressed to party workers, Stalin said that the seat-sharing arrangement was finalised after extensive discussions with alliance partners. He emphasised that the process was carried out in a democratic manner, ensuring fair representation for all parties involved. He also noted that the inclusion of new political parties in the alliance required careful consideration to strike a balance between accommodating partners and maximising electoral prospects.

Highlighting the achievements of his government, Stalin stated that the Dravidian model of governance has helped restore growth and stability in Tamil Nadu after a challenging period under the previous administration. He credited alliance partners for their continued support in advancing policies focused on social justice, secularism, and equality.

With the alliance structure now finalised, the DMK and its partners are gearing up to intensify their campaign efforts across the state.
