Chamarajapete police has arrested three persons who were working in a jewellery store. The three accused are said to have robbed jewels from the shop by breaking the shop shutter. Also, it is learnt that the accused have escaped after robbing hard silver and money.
The police have managed to arrest the main accused Rahul Jain and his accomplices Rajesh and Madhu within hours of the case being registered. Along with 9 lakh, including 3.38 lakh cash, the police have seized 8 kg of hard silver, silver items and a two-wheeler.
The father of accused Rahul Jai, who had previously owned a clothing store, had worked in the shop as a result of business losses. He was going to pick up the jewellery that the shop owner had given him elsewhere. He also brought the money to the owners.
Knowing the owner’s affairs, he decided to steal from the shop he was working for, along with his two companions, in order to fall for the money and to live a life of luxury. At around 11 pm on May 21, the lock on the shop’s rolling shutter was cut off by the axis blade, camouflaged by CC TV, and smashed into the cash and silver nuggets.
The next day, when the shop owner arrived at about 11 am, he found the lock on the rolling shutter and went inside and found a silver litter, silverware, silver biscuits and cash in the store.
The owner immediately lodged a complaint with the Chamarajapete police station. Inspector Eeraswamy and staff investigated and arrested him on suspicion of an employee at the store.
