The Election Commission of India has issued an election schedule on the selection of Southern graduates from the Karnataka Methodology Council, said GC Prakash, President of Election Commission on Tuesday. Also he said, that everyone should cooperate for unbiased and fair election. Speaking at a press conference held at the Regional Commissioner’s office, he said the notification will be issued on May 19. May 26 is the last day to submit a nomination. Nominations review will be held on May 27. May 30 is the last day for the withdrawal of candidacy. The voting (if required) date is June 13. Voting is scheduled from 8 am to 4 pm. The counting of votes will take place on June 15. He said the election process would end on June 17. The Mysuru Divisional Election Commissioner is the Regional Commissioner of Mysore Division and covers the districts of Karnataka South Graduates, Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Mandya and Hassan Districts. The respective District Officers of these districts act as Assistant Elections Officers. The Code of Conduct will be in effect until June 17. Proper action will be taken against those who violate the Code of Conduct. He said teams would be opened up to open up teams to follow the code of conduct. Hassan district has a total of 23038 voters including 13269 male, 9817 female and 2 other voters. Mandya district has a total of 44370 voters, including 24824 males, 19534 females and 12 other voters. Mysore district has a total of 54039 voters including 31687 male, 22347 female and 5 other voters. Chamarajanagar district has a total of 11626 voters including 7561 males, 4063 females and 2 other voters. There are 133073 voters in the Southern Graduates constituency with a total of 77291 males, 55761 females and 21 other voters. They were allowed to apply until May 16. More than 10 thousand applications have been received and added to the voter list. A total of 130 booths will be opened. The age of persons contesting the election shall not be less than 30 years.
