The Chamaraja Assembly constituency MLA L Nagendra met Rajamate Pramodadevi Wodeyar of Mysuru Palace at her home office along with Lakshmikanthareddy, Commissioner of Mysuru City Corporation.
During this visit, the renovation, development, repairs and reconstruction of Devaraja Market, Lansdown building in traditional style to protect the heritage of the buildings were extensively discussed. The the views expressed by the Task Force Committee, the Legislative Council, the Mysuru City Corporation council resolutions, the court orders and the committees formed by the State Government on the conservation and rebuilding of these buildings were briefed.
Speaking after hearing all these, Rajammati Pramoda Devi said she would discuss this issue again with the experts who are already engaged in the conservation / rebuilding of these building as well as the most skilled experts in the area. Decision will be taken in another 10-15 days on dedication of these buildings to public use, she said.
Deputy Director of Palace committee Subramanya, Assistant Commissioner of Ward-06 Manjunath, Engineer Kavitha, BLA-1 Dineshgowda, personal assistant Praveenkumar were present.
