Two persons were arrested by the Girinagar police for allegedly forcing them to live in luxury houses for Rs 2.10 lakh. The jewelery, cash and two-wheelers have been seized. Banashankari 3rd Phase, Nagaraju (24) and Shekhar alias Thipppe (26) were arrested from Veerabhadranagar in Hosakerehalli.
On April 29, at around 10.30pm, the plaintiff Ramesh locked the door of the house and went to Sudasandra near his home town of Tamil Nadu.
At the time, it was discovered that someone had stolen about 23 grams of gold jewelery, 150 grams of silverware, and 30 thousand dollars’ worth of gold items, such as the thieves who cut off the ventilator that had been fitted into the kitchen and placed it in the bedroom cupboard.
Ramesh immediately lodged a complaint with Girinagar police station. The police have registered a case and have come to the spot with a typewriter. The accused have been prosecuted severely and the amount of Rs 2.10 lakhs in respect of homelessness. Police have been able to seize 23 grams of gold jewelery, 150 grams of silver jewelery, cash worth 2 thousand rupees and a Bajaj Pulsar two-wheeler.
Nagaraja and Shekhar are the oldest accused and have been booked in Vijayanagar, Girinagar, JP Nagar and Hanumantha Nagar police stations. The arrests of the accused have uncovered cases of Girinagar and Basavanagudi.
