Director Sailesh Kolanu’s second instalment of HIT, starring Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary in the lead roles, has a release date.
Announcing that the film will hit screens on July 29 this year, Adivi Sesh wrote on his social media, “Something DANGEROUS about to unfold in the HIT universe! Get ready for spine chilling suspense on the 29th of July.” Director Sailesh also wrote, “It’s going to be madness this time. Hitting the theatres on the 29th of July. Get ready for yet another thrilling journey in the universe of HIT.” The team also released a new poster that sees Adivi Sesh looking intense and in the middle of an investigation.
HIT: The First Case, starring Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in lead roles, released in 2020 and took the audience by surprise. The film was a success with critics and at the box office too. It took the story of a police officer called Vikram Rudraju from the Telangana Crime Investigation Department who has a traumatic past. HIT: The Second Case is set in Andhra Pradesh, with Adivi Sesh playing Krishna Dev aka KD. Filming took place in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam and the film is currently in post-production. It remains to be seen how it’ll fare upon release.
