Konark Rai, the founder of the Rudram Dynamics Foundation (RDF), has launched a new initiative aimed at strengthening India’s internal security. This nonprofit organization offers a platform for policy research, training, and innovation to tackle emerging security threats.
Hailing from Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district, Rai introduced the Military-Industry-Academia Sandbox, which brings together key players to create solutions for modern national security issues. He stated, “Our mission is to empower Indian startups and entrepreneurs to excel in tech-driven security, working towards an Aatma Rakshit Bharat.” RDF also focuses on training security personnel and their families to effectively handle evolving threats.
In collaboration with IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation and Gujarat National Law University, RDF has set up India’s first Centre of Excellence for National Security. This center aims to merge security, law, and technology to build indigenous capabilities.
In recognition of October as National Cyber Security Awareness Month, RDF and IIT Madras Pravartak launched the “Cybersecurity Workshop for Surakshit Bharat.” The first workshop was held for 351 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at Mangaluru International Airport, featuring hands-on activities, real-world case studies, and interactive sessions on data protection, privacy, and financial security.
Rai emphasized that defence personnel often face cyber threats that can also affect their families. The next session is planned for Tirupati airport, with plans for nationwide expansion over the next three years. RDF has also organized various strategic courses to enhance the skills of law enforcement and researchers in emerging technologies and their implications for national security.
