Buenos Aires
Argentine President Javier Milei has appointed Gerardo Werthein as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, according to a statement from the President’s office. Werthein, a 68-year-old veterinarian and businessman, has been serving as Argentina’s ambassador to the United States since May, as reported by source.
He replaces Diana Mondino, who was dismissed by Milei on October 30. Mondino’s removal is the fourth cabinet change since Milei took office in December of last year.
