Filming for Vijay’s Thalapathy 69, directed by H Vinoth, has resumed today in Chennai. Actress Pooja Hegde, who stars alongside Vijay, arrived in the city yesterday to join the second shooting schedule. Vijay has returned to the set after taking a break for his political party’s conference and the Diwali festivities.
The production is moving quickly, with plans to complete major portions of the film soon. The release is scheduled for October 2025. A significant part of the dialogue scenes is expected to be wrapped up during this schedule, while a grand song sequence has already been filmed in the previous schedule.
The film features a strong supporting cast, including Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Narain, Gautham Menon, Priyamani, and Mamitha Baiju. Music for the film is composed by Anirudh, and the technical team includes cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan and Editor Pradeep E Ragav, with Anlarasu coordinating the stunts. With its promising cast and crew, Thalapathy 69 aims to captivate audiences when it releases next year.
