Croatia and Argentina have officially qualified for the 2025 United Cup on Sunday night, completing the field of 18 countries set to compete in Perth and Sydney.

Croatia will be represented by Paris Olympic silver medallist and Wimbledon semifinalist Donna Vekic, alongside former world No. 12 Borna Coric, marking their third consecutive year in the tournament. Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion Ivan Dodig will also feature in the squad.

Vekic expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “It’s honestly my favourite tournament of the year. We have great energy in the team… We are not a team, we are a family.” Croatia is placed in Group A and will kick off their campaign against Team Canada on December 28 at RAC Arena, where Vekic is set to face Leylah Fernandez and Coco Gauff.

Argentina, returning to the tournament after missing last year, will be led by world No. 40 Tomas Martin Etcheverry and 2020 Roland Garros semifinalist Nadia Podoroska. They are in Group F and will face host nation Australia on opening night in Sydney, followed by a match against Great Britain two days later.

The United Cup, a mixed team event, will run from Dec 2, 2024 to Jan 5, 2025.
