Indian golfer Rashid Khan experienced a disappointing finish at the BNI Indonesian Masters, concluding tied for 25th after starting strong in the tournament on Sunday. Khan, who was tied for third at the halfway mark, faltered in the final rounds, carding 72 and 71 for a total of 11-under par. Fellow Indian SSP Chawrasia finished tied for 41st at 7-under, while 2023 champion Gaganjeet Bhullar ended tied for 44th after a round of 72.
Canadian Richard T. Lee claimed victory at the tournament, marking his first win on the Asian Tour in over seven years. Lee secured a commanding four-shot lead with a final round of 70, totaling 23-under par. He had been in control throughout the tournament, leading by six strokes at the start of the day and maintaining a comfortable gap even after a one-and-a-half-hour weather delay. Despite facing a setback with a double-bogey on the 16th hole, Lee regained his composure to finish strong.
Chang Wei-lun from Chinese Taipei and Thailand’s Phachara Khongwatmai shared second place, both shooting impressive rounds of 64. Zimbabwean Kieran Vincent secured fourth place with a round of 67. Lee’s win continues a solid run of form, having recently finished tied for second in Thailand and joint ninth at the Black Mountain Championship. American John Catlin, closing with a 69, finished tied for sixth and leads the Asian Tour rankings.
