Mangaluru
A man who went missing from Bihar 15 years ago was reunited with his family, thanks to the efforts of White Doves Home. Corrine Rasquinha, the organization’s founder, shared that Moushin’s family had enrolled him in a madrasa to study to become a Moulvi, but he disappeared from there, leaving his family searching for him in vain.
Moushin was found on the streets of Mangaluru by the White Doves team and brought to their Jail Road Home on December 10, 2017. Upon arrival, he was mentally disturbed, reluctant to bathe, and primarily wanted to sleep. Despite a challenging start, he gradually became more stable with consistent care and medication.
As he began to share fragmented memories of his hometown, the White Doves staff searched online and discovered Balrampur Thana in Bihar, which led them to contact the local police. The authorities conducted a search and successfully located Moushin’s family.
When White Doves informed them that Moushin was alive, his family was overjoyed. They recognized him from photos sent by the organization and requested a video call. Although Moushin initially struggled to recognize them, after a heartfelt conversation, he began to reconnect with his loved ones. His brothers, working in Mumbai, traveled to Mangaluru to reunite with him. This marked the 442nd successful reunion facilitated by White Doves Home.
