Jharkhand Congress Working President Manas Sinha resigned from the party on Monday and joined the BJP, marking a significant shift in state politics. He was welcomed by Jharkhand BJP leaders at the party office in Ranchi.
Sinha expressed his discontent with the Congress, stating he felt unrecognized after 27 years of dedication. He joined the BJP, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and clarified that his decision was not based on seeking a position but on feelings of neglect within the Congress.
He criticized the Congress for surrendering to the JMM in Jharkhand and indicated that he had hoped to contest the Bhawanathpur seat in the upcoming elections, but it had been allocated to the JMM due to a seat-sharing arrangement within the INDIA bloc.
In his resignation letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sinha expressed disappointment over feeling undervalued and announced his departure from all party positions and membership.
