Our AI mission is advancing with strong collaborations among industry, government, and academia.’ He mentioned initiatives like the Generative AI Center of Excellence (GenAI CoE) at IIT Jodhpur and the ‘YuvAI Skilling’ program with AICTE, targeting the training of 100,000 students on large language models (LLMs).
On Friday, IndiaAI and Meta announced the establishment of the GenAI CoE at IIT Jodhpur and launched the ‘YuvAI Initiative,’ aimed at enhancing open-source AI development in India. This partnership seeks to create indigenous AI applications, boost skill development, and enhance research capabilities, ultimately contributing to India’s mission for tech sovereignty.
The GenAI CoE will focus on responsible and ethical AI technologies while empowering the next generation of researchers and practitioners. The YuvAI initiative will train young developers and students to leverage open-source LLMs to solve real-world challenges, impacting sectors like healthcare, education, agriculture, and financial inclusion.
