An FIR has been filed against the owner and several doctors of Vasundhara Hospital in Jodhpur regarding the death of Priyanka Vishnoi, a 33-year-old Rajasthan Administrative Service officer. The case was initiated after a court order, confirming reports from officials on Saturday.

Priyanka’s father-in-law, Sahiram Vishnoi, has accused the hospital staff of negligence during her treatment. The case was heard in Metropolitan Magistrate Court No. 08 in Jodhpur, where Advocate Naman Mohanot represented the complainant. He argued that the medical team failed to provide adequate care and did not keep the family informed about Priyanka’s condition.

Priyanka was admitted to the hospital on September 5, initially diagnosed with a common illness. However, her health worsened, and a neurologist recommended a critical CT scan that was not conducted. The hospital staff did not explain why the test was skipped, raising concerns about their intentions.

When Priyanka’s condition deteriorated further, she was referred to CIMS Hospital in Ahmedabad on September 7. There, doctors discovered she had a hemorrhage that had been improperly treated. The family was reportedly kept in the dark about her true condition throughout this time.

Advocate Mohanot emphasized that the hospital staff should have recognized the severity of Priyanka’s situation but instead tried to cover up their mistakes. He criticized the police for initially refusing to file an FIR, questioning how justice could be served for the public if such cases were ignored. Following the presentation of evidence, the court ordered the local police to register the FIR against the hospital staff.
