New Delhi

After the Finance Ministry flagged Delhi’s revenue deficit for 2024-25, Chief Minister Atishi challenged the BJP, asking them to show even one state they govern that operates with a profit. The BJP rules 22 states. I challenge them to name one that runs at a profit. I’ll present Delhi’s accounts, and they can do the same for any state they control, Atishi said at a press conference. She expressed confidence in Delhi’s financial management and promised transparency by presenting the government’s accounts for public review.

During a cabinet meeting, Atishi announced an increase in the MLA fund from ₹10 crore to ₹15 crore annually, stating no other state allocates such a large amount for MLAs. She also accused the BJP and Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena of political maneuvering, claiming her belongings were removed from the Chief Minister’s residence.

Atishi alleged that the BJP, unable to win in Delhi, is now attempting to take over the Chief Minister’s official residence. She asserted that AAP leaders are committed to serving the people, even if it means working from the streets. She further accused LG Saxena of stalling government projects and engaging in cheap politics, including illegal orders to cut down trees and empowering criminals.
