HC Vijay Shankar, the Governor of Meghalaya, was welcomed at Yoganarasimha Temple in Vijayanagara. The temple trust, led by Bashyam Swamiji, greeted the Governor with a traditional purnakumbha. Prayers were offered to Lord Yoganarasimha, and the Sudarshana Homa was inaugurated by lighting a giant agarbatti. This ritual is part of the Dasara festivities. The 12-day ritual will end with a Maha Abhishek puja on Vijayadashami. The purification of the temple will follow the puja. The Sudarshana Homa is scheduled to occur on October 12 during the ongoing festivities.
