Winners of the 9th Pili Nalike-2024 will have the opportunity to perform on stage in Bahrain during the Bahrain National Day celebrations on December 16. The Pili Nalike Prathishtana will organize the Pili Nalike Season 9 at Karavali Utsava Maidan in the city on October 12.

Cash prizes totaling Rs 18 lakh will be awarded to winners across various categories. The competition will feature 10 selected tiger dance troupes from Dakshina Kannada district. The winning team will receive a sponsored tour to Bahrain, where they will be allowed to perform. Travel and accommodation expenses for at least 10 members of the winning team will be covered.

The Prathishtana also plans to support tiger dance team members pursuing higher education. Details of members studying engineering, BBM, BSc, or other fields will be requested from all pilivesha troupes. Educational fees will be paid for students from economically weaker sections. The goal is to encourage pilivesha artists to continue performing even after securing good jobs in the future.

For the Pili Nalike Season 9, the first-place winner will receive Rs 5 lakh and the Bahrain tour, while second and third place winners will receive Rs 3 lakh and Rs 2 lakh, respectively. All participating teams will receive Rs 50,000 each, along with individual prizes for outstanding performances.
