New Delhi

Oil marketing companies have increased the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders starting Tuesday. The cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has risen by Rs 48.50, bringing the new price to Rs 1,740 in Delhi, up from Rs 1,691.50.

Additionally, the price of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders has also been raised by Rs 12. This hike will directly affect businesses such as restaurants, hotels, and other commercial establishments that depend on these cylinders for daily operations.

This marks the second increase in recent months. On September 1, companies raised the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 39, setting the cost at Rs 1,691.50 in Delhi at the time.

While commercial LPG prices have gone up, there has been no change in the cost of domestic LPG cylinders, offering some relief to households.

The new prices are now in effect nationwide, increasing operational costs for businesses relying on LPG. This may eventually lead to higher prices for end consumers in industries that depend on LPG for cooking and other needs.
