The Municipal Council has allocated Rs. 17710 lakhs for a continuous water supply system in Zones 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6. In a recent meeting, the district in-charge minister approved the selection of beneficiaries for the SFC schemes and called for tenders after discussing various issues.
The absence of a meeting for several months and the delay in electing the President and Vice President were noted as obstacles to development. Solutions were provided for problems affecting various wards, and proposals from council members were approved, including financial sanctions for previous projects.
As the city continues to grow, the need for a garden, basic facilities, and a graveyard in new settlements was emphasized. The installation of CC cameras in key areas was also recommended, with an estimated cost of Rs. 12 lakhs, to assist in accident detection.
Immediate action was directed against illegal constructions on lakes and parks, with plans to clear such buildings. The meeting was attended by the Municipal Commissioner and several council members, highlighting the ongoing commitment to improve city infrastructure and services.
