Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized Modi on Thursday, claiming that he has systematically dismantled the employment system in India. Speaking at a campaign rally in Assandh, Gandhi expressed confidence that Congress would achieve a decisive victory in the upcoming Haryana assembly elections on October 5.
The rally was attended by prominent figures, including Congress MP Kumari Selja, former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and state party chief Udaibhan. Gandhi accused the BJP-led government of destroying Haryana, stating, Modi systematically ended the employment system in the country.
He shared insights from his recent visit to the United States, where he met immigrants from Haryana who had left the state seeking better job opportunities. Gandhi also outlined Congress’ promises for Haryana, which include providing Rs 2,000 per month for women and selling LPG gas cylinders at Rs 500. He pledged to fill two lakh job vacancies in the state and to implement a legal guarantee for minimum support prices for farmers. Elections for the 90 assembly seats in Haryana are set for October 5, with results to be announced on October 8.
