Pranavi Urs will lead the Indian team alongside Tvesa Malik at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France, taking place at the scenic Diane Barriere course at Golf Barriere. A total of 96 players from 29 countries will compete in this 54-hole tournament, which has a prize pool of €375,000. The top 60 players will make the cut after 36 holes and advance to play over the weekend.
Recently, Pranavi achieved her career-best round on the Ladies European Tour, scoring 6-under 66 and finishing seventh. Tvesa ended her last tournament tied for 57th. In the Order of Merit, Pranavi ranks 24th, while Tvesa is making a comeback at 47th. Diksha Dagar is currently the top Indian player at 18th but is taking a two-week break.
Pranavi will play alongside Austria’s Emma Spitz and France’s Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, who is enjoying a strong season. Tvesa will compete with Ireland’s Sara Byrne and England’s Lily Humphrey Mays during the afternoon session.
Defending champion Johanna Gustavsson of Sweden, aiming to reclaim her title, returns to Golf Barriere after securing her first Ladies European Tour win last year. She is currently ranked 30th in the Order of Merit. A notable player to watch is 19-year-old Helen Briem, who recently made headlines by winning the La Sella Open and securing her LET card, marking a remarkable year for her.
