The investigation into the Bengaluru Mahalaxmi murder case has been intensified, with police forming several teams to track down the accused. The police are searching for the suspect in other states, and various issues have surfaced during the investigation.
Mahalakshmi was killed, cut into 50 pieces, and stored in a fridge before the accused fled. Forensic experts found several fingerprints during their search of the house, leading the police to suspect that multiple people may have been involved in the murder.
Mahalakshmi’s mother, Meena, has shared several details in her complaint. She has four children. Her first daughter, Lakshmi, married Syed Imran and changed her name to Shahida Bushura. Mahalakshmi, the second daughter, had been in an arranged marriage with Hemant Das. Mahalakshmi had separated from her husband for nine months and lived in a rented house in Vayalikaval with her brother, Ukkum Singh, and his wife.
Tensions had arisen between Mahalakshmi and her brother’s wife, prompting Ukkum Singh to move Mahalakshmi to a separate residence. This followed her dispute with her husband and a strained relationship with her brother.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayananda has stated that the accused is from outside the state but lived in Bengaluru. The suspect fled after the crime, and a police operation is underway to apprehend him. It is yet to be determined if the murder was committed by one person or more.
