The parents of several students studying in Ukraine have aired their anger on the death of a medical student Naveen.
Naveen, who had gone to get breakfast along with others at 7 am, was standing in a que when the shell hit him. Naveen’s father Shekarappa is an agriculturist, mother Vijayalakshmi is a homemaker, it is learnt.
A parent of a student Sridhar Krishnamurthy Vyshal spoke on the incident and said that ‘My son Suman Vyshal is studying in Ukraine. After the attack of Russia on Ukraine, we had submitted a letter to Central Minister Prahlad Joshi, contacted him over phone. Visited Bagalkot and submitted a request to the MP. Three students had gone to Ukraine to study medical course from the village. Out of this, one student is dead now. If it happens like this, who is responsible for lives of our children?’ he questioned.
‘Already one student of Chalageri is dead. We have only one son. Please make all efforts to bring him back. Our son had called MP Udasi and Chief Minister Bommai, but they are not receiving the call. The government must make efforts for safety of my son, otherwise we will definitely commit suicide by writing the name of Udasi, parent Venkatesh Vyshal said.
