U Mumba will host a 40-day training camp for its 21 players under head coach Gholamreza Mazandarani in preparation for the 11th season of the Pro Kabaddi League, starting October 18. The camp will also include assistant coach Anil Chaprana.

The team’s season opener will be against Dabang Delhi in Hyderabad. The training will emphasize strengthening the tactical understanding of U Mumba’s revamped defense, particularly focusing on the partnership between Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal, along with the experience of veteran Rinku to effectively counter opposing raiders.

The franchise stated that the camp will also aim to foster team bonding and cohesion among players. Mazandarani noted that while last season started positively, it did not conclude as desired, and the focus will now be on addressing areas for improvement.

During the auction in August, U Mumba acquired Sunil Kumar for Rs 1.015 crore, the highest price for any Indian player, and retained defender Rinku. The team also welcomed raider Manjeet and newcomers Stuwart Singh and Amin Ghorbani from Iran, alongside the celebrated ‘Su-Par’ pair of Sunil and Parvesh.
