Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal named India’s new ambassador to Albania

The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal will be India’s new Ambassador to Albania. Jaiswal, who joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1999, is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry. He is expected to assume his new role in Albania soon. India and Albania have had diplomatic relations since 1956.

In related appointments, V Venkataraman will become the next Indian Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rohitkumar R Vadhwana, an IFS officer from the 2010 batch and currently Deputy High Commissioner in Nairobi, has been named as the next Ambassador to Bolivia. Additionally, Sanjay Rana, an IFS officer from the 1996 batch and the current Ambassador to Bulgaria, will take on the role of Ambassador to Morocco.
