KPCC spokesperson Prathibha Kulai responded to allegations made by BJP functionary and former MUDA chairman Ravishankar Mijar regarding the district administration’s handling of the Kambala event at Pilikula Nisargadhama. Mijar claimed that Billava MLA Umanath Kotian was ignored in the decision-making process. Kulai dismissed the allegation as baseless, accusing the BJP of bringing caste politics into the Kambala event.
Kulai questioned the connection between the proposed Kambala at Pilikula and the Billava community. She stated that the MLA was informed by the Deputy Commissioner, who tried contacting him by phone and sent a message. Additionally, the District Kambala Samiti invited the MLA to the event.
The Kambala event is being organized by the state government to promote Pilikula Nisargadhama as a tourist destination. Kulai urged BJP leaders to stop politicizing the issue and support the district administration’s efforts in organizing the event.
