Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara announced that a Police Inspector has been suspended following changes made to the approved route for the Ganesha procession. Speaking to media near his residence in Sadashivanagar, Parameshwara stated that the Inspector altered the predetermined route and that further action will be based on the investigation report.

The Minister assured that an investigation is ongoing and has requested a detailed report on the incident. Additional measures have been instructed to prevent any untoward occurrences, with the Director General having informed all relevant Superintendents of Police and officials through video conference. The Law and Order ADGP and SP have also held meetings with the public, and a KSRP vehicle was stationed at the location as a precaution.

Responding to BJP allegations of government connivance, Parameshwara refuted the claims, emphasizing that the government does not condone any disruption of law and order. He warned that anyone causing confusion during festivals, including Ganesha, will face legal consequences, underscoring that actions will be taken strictly within the legal framework.
