Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot expressed strong confidence on Friday that the Congress party will win the upcoming Assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir. Speaking in Jodhpur, Pilot asserted that the Congress, along with its allies, will secure a significant majority in both regions. He pointed out that the BJP’s recent change in leadership in Haryana indicates their impending defeat, and predicted a historic win for Congress in the state.
Pilot highlighted the unity within the INDIA bloc, noting that the Congress has even included the Communist Party in their Haryana strategy, demonstrating their commitment to broad coalition-building. He also criticized the BJP’s inability to implement their one nation, one election plan, citing ongoing by-elections in various states as evidence of their failure.
Praising Rahul Gandhi’s role as Leader of the Opposition, Pilot remarked that Gandhi’s leadership is holding the government accountable and influencing political dynamics. He also criticized the Union government for neglecting Rajasthan in budget allocations, suggesting that the state’s exclusion is a result of the BJP’s poor performance in the last Lok Sabha elections.
Pilot concluded by affirming that Congress workers are energized and sensing a shift in the political landscape.
