Punjab Police arrested Rohan Masih, the main suspect in a grenade explosion in Chandigarh’s Sector 10 on Friday. The blast, which happened on Wednesday, damaged windows but caused no injuries. Following the incident, Chandigarh Police offered a Rs 2 lakh reward for information leading to the suspects’ capture.
DGP Gaurav Yadav confirmed that Masih, from Amritsar, was apprehended in a joint operation with central agencies. Police also seized a 9mm Glock pistol and ammunition from him. Masih admitted to his involvement in the blast, which was reportedly aimed at a house owned by a retired Punjab Police officer. Further investigation is ongoing with the Chandigarh Police to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy.
