The highly anticipated Tamil film, ‘The Greatest of All Time’ (The GOAT), featuring Thalapathy Vijay in dual roles, is gearing up for a big release this Thursday. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, with Meenakshi Chaudhary playing the female lead.
In a recent interview, director Venkat Prabhu shared an interesting backstory: during the pandemic, he originally wrote ‘The GOAT’ with Superstar Rajinikanth and Dhanush in mind, intending for them to play a father-son duo. However, the plan did not come to fruition, and after some modifications to the script, Vijay took on both roles. Many fans of Rajinikanth and Dhanush believe their collaboration would have created a historic moment in Tamil cinema.
The film also boasts a star-studded ensemble cast, including Prabhudeva, Prasanth, Sneha, Jayaram, VTV Ganesh, Ajmal Ameer, Manobala, Laila, Yogi Babu, Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajay Raj, and Aravind Akash. Produced by AGS Entertainment, with Archana Kalpathi and Kalpathi S. Aghoram as producers, the film features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
