MYSURU
The 13th Graduation day of JSS Womens college at Saraswathipuram will be held on April 30, said Principal of the college KV Suresh.
He was speaking to at a press conference in Journalists bhavan.
The function will be headed by Shirarathri Deshikendra swamiji of Suttur mutt. Union minister of state for Education and External affairs Dr Rajkumar Ranjansingh will be the chief guest. MP Prathap Simha, MLA L Nagendra will be special invitees. Executive Secretary of the institution Dr SG Betasooramata will preside, Suresh said.
As published in Education world magazine, JSS College has obtained 5th place in the state and 25th place in the country. It obtained autonomy in 2005 and from 2008 graduation day is being observed every year. In the current year 670 students have been graduated, out of which 348 have got distinction, 281 first class and 38 second class, he said.
