National jayanthis show special feelings behind it: Someshwaranatha Swamiji

The 515th Jayanti of Shri Nada Prabhu Kempegowda was celebrated by the Vishwamanava Vokkaligar Sangh with significant enthusiasm. The event began with worship at the newly constructed Sri Nada Prabhu Kempegowda Circle in town. Shri Someswaranath Swamiji of the Adichunchanagiri Mysore branch Math and former MLA R Narendra led a procession, laying flowers on the effigy of Sri Nada Prabhu Kempegowda seated in a silver chariot.

During the celebration, Sri Someswaranath Swamiji emphasized the importance of commemorating Jayantis like Bangalore Nirmatri Kempe Gowda Jayanti, noting that such observances reflect deep-rooted sentiments. He highlighted the contributions of leaders such as Buddha, Basava, Ambedkar, and Kuvempu to the state. Kuvempu’s vision of a peaceful society was acknowledged, and it was noted that the Bangalore built by Kempegowda continues to embrace people from all communities.

Sri Someswaranath Swamiji urged everyone to honor the legacy of their ancestors by striving to build a better world and teaching future generations about their history. He emphasized the value of life and encouraged spreading humanity and creating a better society. The event was attended by MLA MR Manjunath, former MLAs R Narendra and Parimala Nagappa, Secretary of the Mental Education Institute Dr. Dattesh Kumar, State Vokkaligara Association President Gangadhar, Director Manje Gowda, District President L Nagendra, Vishwamanava Vokkaligara Association President Lingaraj Gowda, and other community leaders
