This morning, 46 children at Morarji Desai Residential School on Chandrabanda Road in Raichur fell ill after eating breakfast. The students had Palau for breakfast, and shortly afterward, they began to feel unwell. They were quickly taken to Rims Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. Two students experienced vomiting and are under close medical observation, while the others have recovered and are expected to return to the school soon.

District Collector K. Nitish, Zilla Panchayat CEO Pandve Rahul Tukaram, and other officials visited the hospital to check on the students’ condition and spoke with doctors to gather information. In a statement to reporters, District Collector Nitish confirmed that 46 students had been admitted and were receiving treatment. He mentioned that two students were closely monitored due to vomiting, but the rest were in stable condition. The collector noted that gastrointestinal issues are common during the rainy season and indicated that further action would be taken after consulting with the relevant authorities.
