Torrential rains in the Western Ghats region have led to the submergence of 13 bridges in Belgaum district. Among them, the Sankeshwar-Gadahinglaja bridge in Gokak sub-division is completely underwater, along with the Kulgoda-Mahalingapur, Lolasura-Shinglapur, and Yaranala-Hukkeri link bridges. In addition, several roads connecting Boj-Karajaga, Bojwadi-Nippani, Mallikawada-Danwada, Barwad-Kunnura, Boj-Kunnura, Jatrata-Bhivashi, and Bhavanasavadatta-Manjari in Rayabhaga taluk of Chikkodi sub-division are flooded.

The flooding has resulted in a complete halt to traffic on these routes. The Khanapura-Hemmadaga road is also submerged, leading to restricted traffic movements. Barricades have been set up on all affected bridges, and police personnel have been deployed to manage the situation.
