Laos is set to launch a sustainable agriculture demonstration project across 10 Northern provinces. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of agricultural products and establish new production models. According to a report from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, agricultural authorities will oversee the demonstration and production of plant seeds while also introducing modern farming techniques.
The project will take place in the provinces of Oudomxay, Phongsaly, Bokeo, Luang Namtha, Xayaboury, Luang Prabang, Huaphan, Xieng Khuang, Vientiane, and Xaysomboun. By modernizing traditional farming practices, the initiative is expected to support both the economic and social development of Laos.
This effort will not only promote sustainable farming but also encourage the use of innovative agricultural methods, which could lead to increased productivity and better livelihoods for farmers.
