Special buses for Jog Falls package tours, initiated by the North-West Karnataka Road Transport Organization, have garnered positive feedback from the public amid the current monsoon season. According to H Raman Gowder, Hubli Rural Divisional Controller, these tours will operate from the new bus stand on Gokul Road. The Sharavati valley region is experiencing heavy rainfall, reviving the renowned Jog Falls, including its notable cascades like Raja, Rani, Roarer, and Rocket Falls, which are drawing tourists’ attention.
M Priyanga, Managing Director of Northwest Karnataka Road Transport Corporation, emphasized the arrangement of special buses in line with operational directives. Specifically, these buses will run on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, with a special schedule planned for July 17th, coinciding with the last day of Muharram. Departure times are set for 7:30 AM for Rajahamsa buses, 8:00 AM for Volvo AC buses, and 8:10 AM for speed buses. Round-trip fares are fixed at Rs. 430 for Rajahamsa and Rs. 600 for Volvo buses.
Notably, there will be no provision for free travel for women under the Shakti Yojana in these special transport services. For NGOs, associations, and both government and private staff groups, arrangements can be made for additional Rajahamsa and Volvo buses based on demand.
Raman Gowder encouraged the public to take advantage of these package tours, highlighting the fleeting opportunity to witness Jog Falls’ visual splendor during this limited period.
