Mayor Sudheer Shetty Kannur stated that beach festivals would boost the tourism potential of Mangaluru. He was the speaker at the inauguration of the Mangaluru Triathlon and Mangalore Beach Festival, held under the aegis of the Tapasya Foundation, in association with the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC).
He mentioned that the Mangaluru Triathlon and Mangalore Beach Festival would aid in the promotion of tourism.
The corporation will coordinate with the Tapasya Foundation, which plans to build a Rs 100 crore cancer hospital for children, the mayor added.
MP Capt Brijesh Chowta urged the people of Mangaluru to participate in the foundation’s initiatives.
