In response to mounting grievances regarding water supply and sewerage issues across various sub-divisions in Bengaluru, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has announced the convening of a Water Adalat. On Thursday from 9:30 am to 11 am, the session aimed to address delays in water connections, transitions from domestic to non-domestic water usage, and acute shortages affecting several localities.
Key sub-divisions like North-2-1, South-1-1, South-2-1, South-West-1, South-West-4, East-1-2, East-2-2, South-East-2, South-East-5, West-1-2, and West-2-2 will be under scrutiny during the Water Adalat. Residents of areas including Yelahanka Old Town, Yelahanka Newtown, Attur, JP Nagar-2, Kottanoor Dinne, Vijayabank Colony, Arakere & Mico Layout, JP Nagar – 1 & 3, Jayanagar 4th T Block, Jayanagar 4th Block, Hombegowdanagar, Bairasandra, Halasuru, Dommalur, Marathhalli, Koramangala-1 & 2, Vijayanagar OHT, Mudalapalya, Nagarabavi, Annapurneshwarinagar, Sir MV Layout, and Mudalapalya service stations are encouraged to participate.
The BWSSB has set up a 24/7 Complaint Handling Center helpline (1916) for residents to register complaints regarding water shortages. Additionally, complaints can be submitted via WhatsApp at 8762228888, as confirmed by the Board’s Public Relations Officer.
