An event was held in Ahmedabad where Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the Kadva Patidar community for its contributions to Gujarat’s development. The occasion included the inauguration of a hostel complex for students and a hospital, attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
The hostel, named Amin PJKP Vidyarthi Bhavan, was constructed by the Kadva Patidar community and will accommodate students from diverse backgrounds, officials reported. Shah emphasized the importance of living for the country rather than dying for it. He encouraged individuals, whether professionals like IAS officers, doctors, or citizens, to dedicate themselves to national service.
Shah highlighted the community’s significant role in Gujarat’s progress, noting their hard work and contributions to both the state and the nation. He mentioned that graduates from institutions supported by the Kadva Patidar community in North Gujarat are now serving the country.
Chief Minister Patel spoke about the positive impact of initiatives like ‘Shala Praveshotsav’ and ‘Kanya Kelavani Mahotsav’ on education in Gujarat over the past two decades. He stressed the government’s commitment to enhancing education for the nation’s future development.
Shah also inaugurated the SLiMS Hospital, a new multi-specialty facility in Ahmedabad costing over Rs 30 crore. The hospital, equipped with advanced features such as robotic surgery and cardiac care, aims to meet the medical needs of the region.
