Basavaraj Hongal Re-Elected President Of Journalist Guild

Basavaraj Hongal, Deputy Chief Correspondent and Senior Journalist of Udayavani, has been re-elected unopposed as President of the Dharwad Journalist Guild for the third consecutive term. This decision was made during a general meeting where all members reached a consensus.
The re-election secures Hongal’s presidency for the next two years, highlighting the trust and support of the guild members in his leadership. Senior photographer Basavaraj Alagavadi was also re-elected as Vice President, while senior journalist Nijaguni Dindalakoppa assumed the role of Secretary and journalist Vikram Nadigera as Treasurer.
Additionally, a team of experienced professionals was elected to the executive committee, including senior journalists Vishwanath Koti, Manjunath Angadi, R Srinidhi, Ravikumar Kaggannavara, and Raju Karani, alongside photographers Milind Pise and Saddam Mulla.
During the meeting, Basavaraj Hongal presented a comprehensive report on the guild’s annual activities, underscoring their commitment to journalistic excellence and community engagement. Treasurer Vikram Nadigera also provided an overview of the annual financial accounts, ensuring transparency in the guild’s financial management.
