KSRTC Bus Conductor Returned Rs 2.5 Lakh To Passenger

A  KSRTC conductor and driver showed honesty by returning lakhs of rupees left in the bus to the passenger. Driver Hanumantaraya and Conductor Manjunatha, who are working in Hubli rural unit 1, returned the money found in the bus to the passenger Somesekhar Patil.

Somashekhar Patil was coming to Raichur from Manvi town in a bus going from Hubli to Hyderabad. But he left the money bag in the bus while getting down at Raichur. After the bus reached Hyderabad, the driver and conductor checked the bag and found the passenger’s bank passbook and mobile number along with Rs 2.5 lakh cash. Then they contacted Somashekhar and told the matter. While returning to Hubli from Hyderabad on Wednesday, they returned the money and showed authenticity.

Conductor Manjunath Navalagunda said, apassenger was coming to Raichur in our bus. In the commotion, he left the bag of money in the bus. After we reached Hyderabad, we saw the bag. When we checked, there was Rs 2.5 lakh money, along with phone number, bank passbook. Then we contacted him on Tuesday and told him to come to the bus station on Wednesday.  We returned the money to the passenger in the presence of the Raichur bus station officer on Wednesday.

Somashekhar Patil said, I traveled by bus from Manvi town to Raichur. But I left the bag with money in the bus and got down at Raichur. There was Rs 2.5 lakh money in the bag. After the bus reached Hyderabad, the conductor and the bus driver noticed the bag and found my money in it. They called the number and told the matter. On Wednesday, in the presence of the Raichur bus station officer, he has fulfilled his duty by returning the money to me.
