Yadgir
An incident took place in Doranahalli village of Shahapura taluk of the district in which more than 50 children became seriously ill due to vomiting and diarrhoea after consuming hot midday meal.
Vomiting and diarrhoea appeared in three government school children of Doranahalli village. Children of Ambedkar Government Primary School, Mahanteshwar Junior Primary School, Government Senior Primary School Hire Agasi School also fell seriously ill after consuming hot food.
Meals was supplied by an NGO to three schools in the village. The parents admitted the children to the government hospital while the children were struggling to complain of stomach ache after vomiting and diarrhoea appeared in the children shortly after eating. The children are currently being treated at the hospital for suspected food poisoning. More than 50 children are receiving treatment in government and private hospitals.
