South-West Teachers’ Constituency JD(S)-BJP Alliance Candidate Bhoje Gowda Win

BJP-JD(S) alliance candidate Bhoje Gowda has won the South-West Teachers Constituency election. He won by a margin of 5,267 votes in the first preference vote. Congress candidate KK Manjunath got 4,562 votes and lost.
A total of 19,479 votes were cast in this election of the Constituency of Teachers Constituency in Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Davanagere, Kodagu, Shimoga, Udupi districts. Out of these 821 votes were invalid. Out of 18,658 valid votes, Bhoje Gowda won first preference votes with 9,829 votes.
Speaking after the election results, the winning candidate Bhoje Gowda congratulated the teachers who won an unprecedented victory in the first preference votes. He said that he will dedicate this victory to the teaching community.
Teachers have trusted me and given me first preference vote. I was confident of winning this election. Last time I won alone from JD(S). This time BJP-JD(S) contesting together as candidates has paid off. He said that he congratulated all the leaders of JD(S)-BJP who were responsible for my victory.
