The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) marked World Environment Day with a significant event at Peenya Depot 09 on Wednesday, highlighting its commitment to environmental conservation.

Shilpa M., Director of Information Technology at BMTC, graced the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated the celebration by planting saplings. The event also saw the recognition of the best uniformed driving staff for their exemplary work and discipline, with certificates and cash prizes awarded to them.

BMTC encouraged its employees to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts by planting saplings, aiming to foster a culture of environmental responsibility within the organization. Additionally, in collaboration with the Sasyayagna team, BMTC distributed medicinal plants free of cost to attendees, promoting green practices and highlighting the importance of medicinal plants in improving health.
