War 2 Distributor Denies Leaving Industry After Flop

War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, was one of the most-anticipated films of the year. However, since its release last week, the film has not performed as expected at the box office, leaving fans and industry insiders surprised.

Amid the disappointing response, rumours began circulating that Naga Vamsi, the distributor of the Telugu version of the film, might quit the film industry. Addressing these speculations, Vamsi took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote in Telugu, Sorry to disappoint you all, but that time hasn’t come yet. I still have at least 10–15 years ahead. Always for the cinema, at the theatres… for the cinema! See you all soon with our next project, MassJathara.

Produced by Yash Raj Films, War 2 was made on a reported budget of Rs 300–400 crore. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Ashutosh Rana in key roles alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Despite the high expectations and star-studded cast, the film’s opening week performance has been underwhelming compared to the hype surrounding it.

Naga Vamsi’s statement has reassured fans and industry colleagues that he remains committed to cinema and will continue distributing films in the years to come. While War 2 may not have met expectations, the distributor’s dedication to the industry signals more projects and efforts to come, including his upcoming venture, Mass Jathara, which audiences eagerly await.
