KIA Receives Fresh Hoax Bomb Threat, Triggers Panic

Must read

Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport experienced a bomb threat on Wednesday morning, causing concern among passengers. A note discovered in a male washroom at the Alpha 3 building warned of bomb blasts at the airport. Upon notification by an airport employee, security personnel, including the bomb squad and CISF staff, conducted extensive checks.

Although basic operations like baggage check-ins were briefly halted, they resumed after authorities confirmed the note as a hoax. Flight operations continued without disruption. The airport police are investigating the incident.

This incident adds to a series of hoax bomb threats in Bengaluru. Recently, three-star hotels and an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Varanasi were targeted, leading to evacuations and investigations. Similarly, bomb threat emails were sent to schools in various locations, causing alarm before being dismissed as hoaxes.
