GAIL, the natural gas company has given one more shock to the CNG users of the city. The price of one kg of CNG is increased by Rs 16 in just few days’ time.
The price of CNG per kg was Rs 63 till April 1. Later it was increased to Rs 68. Again, there was increase of Rs 7 within a few days and the price became Rs 75. Now a further four rupees increase has taken the price to Rs 79.
People are buying more eco-friendly vehicles in the city that run on CNG. But the price rise in the same mode of petrol and diesel has made the owners of the vehicles regret their decision. CNG users are planning to hold a protest against GAIL. Meanwhile, some areas are reporting shortage of CNG.
