Residents of the city are reeling from the aftermath of Friday’s winds and rainfall, with reports of extensive damage emerging from various neighborhoods. Within the confines of Deepanjali Nagar, three electric poles succumbed to the force of the storm, leading to chaos and disruption.

The incident, which occurred around 11:30 pm on Friday, only came to the attention of residents in the early hours of the following morning. Shocked witnesses recounted scenes of trees and pillars collapsing under the relentless onslaught of the storm, highlighting the severity of the situation. A massive tree toppled near Gandhi Park in Nagarabhavi Second Stage around midnight. This incident obstructed the road, leaving residents struggling to navigate their surroundings. Additionally, a significant branch from another tree fell onto a car in Mansa Nagar, Nagarbhavi, causing further damage and inconvenience to locals.

Efforts are currently underway to clear the debris and restore normalcy to affected areas. Workers are diligently working to remove fallen trees and branches, ensuring safe passage for residents and vehicles alike.
